The North East Florida State Hospital (NEFSH) needed to safely replace the 2 hot water tanks in the laundry mechanical room. When we came in, one tank was already out of service due to leaks and the other tank was close to failing completely.

We performed a controlled demolition of the two hot water tanks in order to make room for a brand new and improved hot water tank system. Additionally, we fabricated all new piping that would seamlessly tie into the existing system.

We were challenged with the problem of fitting a large tank in a small, tight area. By using proper rigging and lift plans, we were able to safely transport the tanks into the building.

We installed a new hot water tank and new piping as well as a new 6” SS line with a backflow preventer outside of the mechanical room in two weeks flat.
